AVA is always striving to find new ways to support students as they move toward success. One new opportunity for students is Homework Helper Clubs.
Some nights, homework time can be a struggle. It could be that your child struggles with what to do first, how to break assignments into approachable steps, or perhaps the difficulty is with getting the materials from school to home. We d like to help.
Starting the week of January 14th, we are making Homework Helper Clubs available to students.
Here are the details so you can consider if this opportunity is right for your child:
What: Students (K-4 and 5-8) can seek help with their homework from teachers. (This is not one-on- one tutoring, but it is a structured, academic environment in which to focus on homework completion.)
When: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-5 PM
Where: K-4 Room 103; 5-8 Room 300
Who: Two teachers will facilitate each session. Student limit = 26 per session
Cost: $10/session non-refundable.
